How long to read a juz

For non fluent readers, it may take an hour or so. The Quran is divided into Chapters called Surahs. A Juz , also known as Siparah in Urdu, is another part of the Quran. Al-Baqarah The Heifer No. Which surah does not start with Bismillah? Which Juz is Surah Yasin in? Why is it called Juz Amma? This juz' is often called juz' amma, a name which reflects the first word of the first verse of this section It is usually the first part of the Quran that children and new Muslims learn to read, although it comes at the end of the Quran.

How long does it take to become a hafiz? How many years will take to become a Hafiz? There are pages in the Qur'an it really depends on how big your Qur'an is. If you manage to memorize half a page every day, you'll memorize the whole Qur'an in four and a half years. There are 30 juz in the quran.

Prophet MuhammadThe Prophet Muhammad disseminated the Koran in a piecemeal and gradual manner from AD to , the year in which he passed away. The evidence indicates that he recited the text and scribes wrote down what they heard.

So there are sixty Ahzab in the whole Quran. While the surah begins in Juz 22, most of it is in Juz Surah — The Cow — Al Baqarah The title of this surah refers to an argument between Moses and the Israelites over a cow they should sacrifice in order to make known the murder of a slain man.

More items…. Each Hizb is made up of four quarters, known as Rubu3. There are 60 Hizb in the Quran. There are 30 Juz in the Quran. What I learned upto midteens i don't have to revise at all and still don't forget on the other hand, more recent Surahs I forget easily and have to revise a lot.

May Allah enable us to memorize and retain what we memorized. I'm 25 already and I've only memorized around 20 short Surahs. It gives me something to look forward to trying to memorize the whole Qur'an now that I've read what is posted here.

Jazakallah for the information everyone. Salaam brother. If you memorized 3 pages a day on a consistent basis, you can do it in less than a year.

But after awhile, you will be used to it and memorizing will be easy. But let me tell you that memorizing is not the hardest part, the hardest part in the revision and keeping the memorization strong. You have to read juz a day and be consistent with it or you'll just end up forgetting. A true hafidh in my opinion is one who is very strong in recitation and he understands what he is reading.

May we all become a hafidh one day and may we do it only for Allah's pleasure :. And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful.

I think I posted a thread on this but you should watch the traveler with the Quran series. It will give you a strong boost and give you guidelines to memorize. They show people blind and people who have mental disorders and they still memorize the entire Quran. It gives me and hope it gives you motivation as well. Btw I'm 17 too and Quran is easy to memorize, we just need more time and effort. Al-Mufarridun liked this post. Insha'Allah with sincere intention and effort all is possible.

I feel like this thread should get more attention, so I'll bump this. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him [].

I struggle to memorise. I have a lazy mind. It loves to dream away and hates remembering. Even full concentration and repeated over and over again can be forgotten not too long after. I tried Yassin at one line a day, when it got to around 15 lines I was having a tough time separating the 12th 13th and those that followed.
